My California trip was lovely. Santa Cruz was remarkable and I will 10000% be returning. Thank you to Catrina for being the most generous and gracious host. We hiked barefoot through the redwoods and jumped in the ocean, I got to spend time with wonderful welcoming people, and was reminded of just how much I love California. The ocean is the most stimulating and exhilarating thing ever. I was in awe of how it is constantly changing. The mantra that one cannot step in the same river twice has been on my mind over the last year, and my experience with the ocean this time around reminded me of the magnitude of this idea. The fact that 70% of this planet is a mass that is in a perpetual state of visual flux is simply lovely (Nothing is ever stagnant, but the ocean is never still). After frolicking on the beach for a few hours the cold, the air, and the changing of the light and the water helped me feel very grounded and grateful for the experience to be there and to return to a place that means so much to me. It also reminded me to continue appreciating natural beauty (listened to all of Chemtrails and a playlist I made)

It was also lovely to return to campus for the first time since graduating. The homecoming was cut short, but I am grateful for the day that I had.
Musings
Not much musing lately. My brain has been very occupied and things have felt very singular. I was able to do some clown recently and that felt great. I will reflect on that next time around.

I don’t have many words this week. More images and abstract ideas.
